Cabot Risun Chemical (Xingtai) Co., Ltd. Semi-Dry Desulfurization + SCR Device
Cabot Risun Chemical in Xingtai undertook an environmental upgrade in 2020, installing both a semi-dry desulfurization system and an SCR device for its energy center and four carbon black production lines. This setup achieved NOx concentrations ≤35 mg/Nm3, SO? concentrations ≤15 mg/Nm3, and dust concentrations ≤5 mg/Nm3, achieving ultra-low emission standards.

The flue gas required efficient desulfurization due to the process’s high SO? levels and a stable operational flow within the absorption tower for effective desulfurization and particulate removal.
Solution
The semi-dry desulfurization system used a venturi tube at the absorption tower’s base to accelerate gas and increase gas-solid interaction within the circulating fluidized bed. The system ensured a high Ca/S ratio (above 50) for optimal SO? absorption. The setup included a recirculation system that directed clean gas back to the tower, stabilizing the flue gas flow and achieving continuous high-efficiency desulfurization.
Results
Urea pyrolysis to produce ammonia refers to the process in which urea is decomposed into ammonia under high temperature conditions of 350-600℃. The reaction equation is as follows:
CO(NH2)2→NH3+HNCO HNCO+H2O→NH3+CO2
The complete set of equipment mainly includes: high-temperature fan, electric heater, urea pyrolysis furnace, injection system, and electrical and control instrumentation system. The above equipment is manufactured, assembled and tested in our company’s equipment processing and manufacturing plant. After qualified commissioning, the complete set of equipment is transported to the site, and the engineering personnel only need to dock in place.
Application occasions: denitrification projects or other chemical projects that require ammonia.
